Putin noted good indicators of the contribution of creative industries to the economy

MOSCOW, May 30. Russian President Vladimir Putin is pleased with the contribution of the creative industries to the Russian economy, noting that Russian indicators are higher than the world ones.
Svetlana Chupsheva, General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, told the head of state about the indicators at the exhibition dedicated to the creative economy at the Zotov Center.

«The numbers we got are 4.87% today the contribution of the creative industries to Russia's GDP. This is comparable to industries such as construction, finance and insurance,» she said.

The President drew attention to the fact that the figures are higher than in the world as a whole.
«In the world as a whole, 3% … And we get almost 5%. It's a very good indicator,» he said.
Chupsheva explained that we are talking about 6.5 trillion rubles.
«Of the leading cities, we note Moscow, Tyumen, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Kaliningrad. These are the cities that attract creative creative people to the greatest extent,» she added.

In February 2023, as reported on the ASI website, a study by the Agency showed that the contribution of creative industries to the Russian economy is 4.87% of GDP. At the same time, as noted, the regions are quite heterogeneous in terms of the contribution of this area to socio-economic development.
