Explosive drone 'head' entangled in living room curtain
Each of the residents of the capital experienced an attempted attack by Ukrainian drones on Moscow in the early morning of May 30 in their own way. Someone enthusiastically told about what had happened to relatives and friends, someone was so scared that he preferred to withdraw into himself. A characteristic detail: in all three cases, when UAVs hit residential buildings, they were noticed shortly before the «arrival». True, it was hardly possible to avoid drones getting into buildings. MK found out who suffered the most from drones.
The signal that a drone is approaching the capital came from the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Naro-Fominsk urban district of the Moscow region. The drone was flying over the Kyiv highway at a relatively low altitude (10-15 meters) at the approximate speed of a car. Most likely, it was this UAV that at 4.15 hit the wall of a residential skyscraper in the village (officially — the city) Moskovsky, on Atlasova Street, between the last, 25th floor and the roof.
The woman from the house opposite did not sleep in this early hour. She heard a pop, immediately after that, the alarm went off.
And here is what a resident of that same house 11 says.
— I woke up from a strong roar, the house was shaking so that we had beds shook. I dread to imagine what happened on the top floor.
She looked out the window and saw a ring of smoke, pieces of the facade of the house, glass, frame flew down. I was very scared and started screaming at my husband. We ran out into the yard with a small child. At first they didn’t understand what happened, but after they found parts of the drone’s wings on the ground, everything became clear.
About five minutes later, the police, firemen, and an ambulance arrived. I know that a resident of our house suffered, she has cut wounds, apparently from broken glass.
We are talking about a resident of apartment 144 on the top floor — just above her, the drone flight ended. Aleksandra, 37, a head of staff at a supermarket, received a cut wound to her thigh. She refused hospitalization. First of all, Alexandra thought about her relatives — her husband and three-year-old son Demyan, who at that moment were sleeping peacefully. Fortunately, they were not injured, everyone evacuated from the house on their own.
At about 8 o'clock, residents began to be allowed into the house. Strictly according to the passport — so that, God forbid, an unknown person does not enter. And already at 16 o'clock the public utilities almost eliminated the «wounds» on the facade of the building.
This house is elite, built not so long ago, the tenants are not simple, they even have their own security. The alarm was sounded, as it should be, by the security guard — at 4.25 he heard the sound of breaking glass, went to see what happened, and saw the fragments of the UAV on the pavement.
A resident of the house, Vladimir, says:
— As far as I know, the drone flew into the apartment below me. Two girls live there, but they haven't even woken up. They were later evacuated.
— I just left the house first. I got a call from the security of the house and they said that a drone had fallen on my car.
— No, she was not hurt.
He lives in the apartment where the drone flew in a respected family from Sakhalin, one of the representatives of the older generation was even the mayor of the city of Kholmsk. The owner of the property, Arkady Vyacheslavovich, the owner of a shipping company, is now resting in Cyprus. And his granddaughter and girlfriend spent the night in his house. They came home late and, indeed, slept so soundly that they woke up only from the ringing and knocks on the door.
The «head» of a drone with explosives got tangled in the curtain in the living room. Neighbor Olga, who lives on the floor below, saw everything with her own eyes:
— I just didn’t sleep that night at all. It sounded like a motorcycle was running. I also thought — well, wow, we have a motorcycle here, and so loud! And then — boom! And the blow, like a strong bang, I decided that this motorcycle had “cut in” somewhere in the end. And then there was a sound, as if the sheathing was falling from the roof — shih! The drone broke the window, the head with the charge got tangled in the curtain, and all its other parts fell to the ground in the courtyard of the house.
Then the ambulance and the police arrived, and they started waking people up from their apartments so that everyone would go out into the street. In fact, no one could understand anything. The special services did not start demining until all the residents were taken out. And then we sat on the street until one in the afternoon.
First, a resident of the area called the 112 service and announced that he had just flown into towards the center of Moscow drone. And literally in a minute there was an “arrival”. This time, a multi-storey building along Profsoyuznaya Street was damaged. Moreover, the drone landed in an apartment on the 16th floor. There, at that moment, 67-year-old Nadezhda Petrovna was sleeping peacefully.
A fragment of a drone and an object resembling a gas cylinder were «stuck» in the apartment itself. Nadezhda Petrovna worked as a simple auditor all her life, now she is an ordinary pensioner. She admits that she has never been so scared.
— Thank God, I have another apartment, she said. — Moved there. And now this one will probably have to be repaired.
