KRASNOYARSK, May 31. The court found guilty of accepting bribes and sentenced the former head of the federal service for supervision of environmental management (Rosprirodnadzor) in Krasnoyarsk to eight years in a strict regime colony Krai and the Republic of Tyva Andrey Kalinin, the prosecutor's office of the region reports.
According to investigators, in November 2018, Kalinin was approached by his deputy with a request for money to assist entrepreneurs in quickly obtaining permits for the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere. Having secured the consent, the deputy acted as an intermediary in the transfer of bribes to the accused. After receiving the money, the man gave instructions to subordinate employees on the issuance of permits, as well as positive conclusions from the state environmental review in a short time.
«In December 2018, he received 800 thousand rubles from various entrepreneurs… Today, the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk sentenced a man to eight years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony with a fine of 1.5 million rubles, as well as deprivation of the right to hold positions in state and local government bodies for a period of five years.
It is noted that during the debate, the prosecutor asked the court to impose a sentence of 10 years in prison. The defendant pleaded not guilty.
The bribers, as well as the intermediary, are exempt from criminal liability, as they actively helped the investigation.
