
ROSTOV-NA- DON, May 31. The Southern District Military Court sentenced Igor Paskar to 8.5 years in prison for throwing bottles of flammable liquid towards the building of the Russian Federal Security Service in the Krasnodar Territory and on the sidewalk near a patriotic poster, a court representative told reporters.
According to him, on June 12 last year in Krasnodar, Paskar set fire to the wick of a glass bottle with a flammable liquid like a Molotov cocktail and threw it on the sidewalk under a poster with a patriotic image attached to the wall of a building. Two days later, the defendant threw a similar bottle with a lit wick towards the front door of the building of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Krasnodar Territory.
After that, Paskar painted his face with yellow and blue stripes and remained at the scene. He was detained by law enforcement officers. The criminal case was initiated under the articles «Vandalism» and «Terrorist act».
«In accordance with the verdict of the court, Pascar was found guilty and he was sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 8 years and 6 months in a strict regime correctional colony, with the first 3 years in prison», — said the representative of the court.
The verdict has not yet entered into force.
