Probable response to UAV attack on Russian capital named

The drone attack on Moscow on May 30 was the Ukrainian regime's response to Sunday's Russian military strike on decision-making centers in Kiev. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told about this at a daily briefing, then Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a strike with precision-guided Russian weapons, including on the headquarters of Ukrainian military intelligence. But this does not change the question of what will be our «response» to their «answer». The experts interviewed by MK were divided.

Probable response to UAV attack on Russian capital named

Experts, military, politicians and political scientists have completely different views on how to solve the problem of air attacks on Moscow.

Political scientist Sergei Markov proposes to radically change approaches to the conduct of hostilities in the zone of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

According to Markov, the attack on Moscow and several elite areas of the Moscow region was Kyiv's response to the loss of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) and the massive attacks of the Russian Aerospace Forces on Kyiv in recent days. The «answer to the answer» from the Russian Federation should be the mobilization of the economy, — the political scientist is sure:

— It is necessary to mobilize the economy. Drones should not be bought by relatives of fighters in the market. Stalin in a year and a half of the war would have filled up the front with everything that was needed.

Need to be more serious. Harder. Enough talk about red lines. Our economy is ten times larger than the Ukrainian one. And taking into account the hostilities — more than 15-20 times. I don't understand why we don't produce a sufficient number of drones, Sergey Markov argues.

Alexander Mikhailov, head of the Bureau of Military-Political Analysis, has a different point of view. The expert believes that before developing tactics for responding to an UAV attack in Moscow, it is necessary to figure out where the drones were launched from. Analyst doubts drones could have been launched from Ukrainian territory:

— They were most likely launched from the Moscow region or regions close to Moscow.

Technically, it is possible to make a disposable drone capable of flying up to 600-800 km. But I doubt that a whole squadron flew over 700 km, and our layered air defense systems did not notice it anywhere along the way and did not shoot them down, — says Alexander Mikhailov. According to the expert, the UAVs were launched 10-15 kilometers from the southern border of Moscow and started from one point. The analyst called the attack purely terrorist, without any military purpose. According to Mikhailov, the response to the actions of Kyiv should be the activation of our special services.

— There are Ukrainian agents near Moscow. They get explosives and drone parts from somewhere. Most likely, it was the same group that carried out the attack on the Kremlin. Probably, they are somewhere in the nearest suburbs. Kiev's goal is to inflict pinpricks, create newsworthy events from scratch.

All this time we have been trying to keep ourselves within the framework of international law. Therefore, they do not deliver serious blows, so as not to provoke Russia into larger-scale hostilities. But even from pinpricks there is damage, drones get into residential buildings.

The main question today is why we are not working on the military-political leadership of Ukraine. This is the first direction. And secondly, you need to work as an agent here, on the territory of Russia, — a military analyst is sure.
