BELGRADE, May 31 Court of the Self-Proclaimed Republic of Kosovo in Pristina, arrested for 30 days two Serbs detained on Monday during clashes in the north of the region, Kosovo online reports. . Clashes between local residents and the security forces on Monday resulted in 52 casualties among the Serbs and at least 30 among the military of the North Atlantic Alliance. The Serbs said they would remain in front of municipal buildings in a peaceful protest until their demands for the recall of Albanian mayors and the withdrawal of police special forces, as well as the release of detainees at the May 29 protests, were met.
«Court of First Instance in Pristina decided to apply a measure of arrest for a period of 30 days to two Serbs — Rados Petrovic and Dusan Obrenovic, who were detained on Monday in Zvecan,» the portal reported.
Earlier, Obrenovic's lawyer told reporters that his client was severely beaten by the Kosovo police during his arrest, during transportation and at the South Mitrovica police station and received numerous head injuries.
