VOLGOGRAD, May 31. A resident of Volgograd was detained on suspicion of sexual violence against an 8-year-old girl committed in the entrance of a high-rise building, the press service of the SUSK RF for the region reported.
According to the department, on May 27, a resident of Volgograd turned to law enforcement agencies and said that a man had attacked her eight-year-old daughter in the entrance of the house, and then fled. Investigators looked at street security cameras and found out how the attacker left the crime scene. The suspect was a 48-year-old local resident.
«Currently, the suspect has been detained … a search was conducted at his place of residence, during which objects were found and seized relevant to the investigation,» the IC said in a statement.
A criminal case has been initiated under the article «other acts of a sexual nature against a person under the age of fourteen».
