MOSCOW, May 29 Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation prepared the territorial election commissions of four new regions of the Russian Federation for election campaigns, if they are appointed, said Lyudmila Markina, a member of the CEC.
As previously reported, representatives of the electoral commissions of the new regions were trained in Rostov-on-Don, in total, about 350 people took an intensive course on electoral law and process.
«Representatives of absolutely all four territories — these were the heads of territorial election commissions — were interested in gaining new knowledge, gaining theoretical and practical skills. Accordingly, they will be ready for the upcoming election campaigns, if they are appointed,» — Markina said.
She added that during the training, the election commissions of the new regions were introduced to all the standards that are in force on the territory of the Russian Federation.
“Of course, they told absolutely completely the entire structure that represents the electoral system of the Russian Federation. These are digital services. That is, all the possibilities that may be,” Markina explained.
Referendums on the entry of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Russian Federation were held on September 23-27, 2022. According to the results of processing 100% of the ballots in the DPR, 99.23% of those who voted for joining the Russian Federation, in the LPR — 98.42%, in the Kherson region — 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region — 93.11%. On September 30, Putin spoke in the Kremlin following the results of referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, after which he signed agreements with their heads on the admission of regions into Russia.
