MOSCOW, June 1 Ukraine privately expressed dissatisfaction with the pace arms shipments from Canada and called for direct access to the Canadian defense sector, CBC reports.
«Ukrainian officials in Kiev privately expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of deliveries and advocated behind closed doors for a more structured system and giving Ukraine direct access to the Canadian defense complex,» the channel said.
It is noted that the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov made a video message during the annual exhibition of the Canadian Defense and Security Association. He expressed the hope that the new review of the country's defense policy will include a provision on obligations towards Kyiv. However, Canadian authorities have not yet said when the document will be released. According to the channel, Ottawa is under international pressure to prepare a plan before the July NATO summit in Vilnius.
