LUGANSK, June 1 Ukrainian servicemen in the border areas of the Kharkiv region use local residents as guides and for reconnaissance, said Lieutenant Colonel Narodnoy Retired police officer of the Lugansk People's Republic Andrei Marochko, citing his own sources.
«In the settlements of the Kharkiv region, bordering the Belgorod region of Russia, an increase in the military presence of the armed formations of Ukraine was noted. There was also an increase in joint patrols, consisting not only of security forces, but also of civilians,» the agency's interlocutor said.
He clarified that local residents should show the military all the trails and roads of local importance and give other background information.
