NALCHIK, May 31. Two people were killed, 10 more, including two children, were taken to hospital as a result of a collision between a fixed-route taxi and a foreign car in the Elbrus district of Kabardino- Balkaria, the regional prosecutor's office reported on the website.
Earlier, the GUMCHS of the Russian Federation in the region reported that at 15.00 on Wednesday on the federal highway Prokhladny-Baksan-Elbrus, a passenger Gazelle, following the route Nalchik-Tyrnyauz, and a BMW car collided. As a result of the accident, two people died, 12 people were taken to the district hospital for examination. According to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, the driver and passenger of a foreign car died in the accident, seven people were injured, including two minors.
“As a result of a traffic accident, two citizens died, 10 people received various injuries, two of whom are minors. The victims were taken to a medical institution,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
After the fact of the accident, the police launched an investigation, the prosecutor's office of the region took control of its conduct.
The Ministry of Health of the KBR reported that after the accident, six victims were admitted to the Republican Clinical Hospital in Nalchik, including two children. «Now doctors are assessing the condition of patients,» the ministry added.
