OMSK, June 2 The Omsk prosecutor's office organized an inspection due to a huge failure in the asphalt in the city center, the press service of the department said.
The formation of the failure occurred on June 1 on Krasny Put Street opposite the Pushkin Library, next to the building — an architectural monument «Dwelling house of I. A. Kargenyuk».
A road sign standing next to it fell into the pit. Omsk hurried to photograph the failure and shared photos on social networks.
«The Prosecutor's Office of the Central District of Omsk organized an inspection into the destruction of the asphalt pavement. It was preliminary established that on June 1, 2023, at night in the area of house 12 on Krasny Put Street in Omsk due to damage the underground heating system failed asphalt,» the press service of the regional prosecutor's office explained.
The pit has already been covered with rubble, and work on the restoration of the asphalt pavement will continue.
