DONETSK, June 1. The Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled Donetsk several times a day on Children's Day, hitting the territory of three schools and a playground, wounding a civilian.
«Several shells flew in, everyone was still at the workplace, this is the building of the administration of the Kievsky district. Right next to us is a playground, a leisure place for residents of the Kievsky district. A woman was passing by, received a minor shrapnel wound, she was given first aid and she was taken away by an ambulance team,» said Natalia, an eyewitness to the incident.
Head of Donetsk Aleksey Kulemzin said in his telegram channel that «enemy ammunition hit the territory of the playground in front of the district administration building.» «A random passerby was hit by shrapnel. She is being given first aid,» he added.
According to the representative office of the Donetsk People's Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC), on June 1, as a result of the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, schools No. 48 and No. 3 were damaged, in addition to many residential buildings in Gorlovka, and the mayor of Donetsk reported that shells hit the territory of schools No. 94, No. 106. Also, during the shelling of the Kuibyshev region, hits fell on the territory of school No. 51.
