MOSCOW, June 1 Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva admitted that I would like to win 25 Grand Slams in my career.
On Thursday, the 16-year-old Russian beat Frenchwoman Diane Parry 6-1, 6-2 to advance to the third round of Roland Garros, her debut Grand Slam tournament. After the tournament, Andreeva will rise to the top 100 of the world ranking.
“I know that (Novak) Djokovic has won 22 Grand Slams, so I want to win 25 if possible. But I will just play, now my goal is to win match after match,” said Andreeva on press conferences.
Andreeva also said that she would like to play with the representative of Tunisia Ons Jaber in the future.
«I would like to play with Ons Jaber because I like her tennis. We both play in a calm style,» she answered the question about her preferred opponent.
