“The ministers … declared their support for the policy of preventing an arms race in outer space, including through negotiations on the adoption of an appropriate multilateral document,” the declaration says.
The meeting of the BRICS foreign ministers is taking place on June 1-2 in Cape Town. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in South Africa the day before to participate in it. On Thursday morning, he already had a number of bilateral meetings.
