Air defense systems have successfully shot down several Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) near Kursk, regional governor Roman Starovoit said in his Telegram -channel. According to him, the incident took place at night. At the same time, he did not report on possible damage and casualties.
The head of the region urged local residents to remain calm and assured that Kursk was under the reliable protection of military forces. He also urged residents to report suspicious items to the emergency service at 112.
Recall that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) periodically shell Russian border territories using drones, and also carry out acts of sabotage. In this regard, in the regions of Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod, as well as in the Crimea, a yellow level of terrorist threat has been set.
