
DONETSK, June 2 Ukrainian troops released ten shells of «NATO» caliber 155 millimeters in Novopetrikovka and the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported.

Donetsk Mayor Aleksey Kulemzin reported earlier that a civilian was killed as a result of shelling in the Kuibyshev district, a direct hit on an apartment building was also recorded, and another shell hit near the hospital. The DPR representative office in the JCCC previously reported shelling of the city area by Ukrainian troops, who fired ten rockets from the MLRS.
Kuibyshevsky district is located in the western part of Donetsk.
Artillery of 155 mm caliber is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Ukraine with long-range M777 howitzers of this caliber, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using 155 mm caliber shells.
