The Maykop District Court sentenced local resident Victoria Goncharova to six and a half years in prison in the case of involvement in the Right Sector and «fakes» about the army. This was reported by the press service of the court, SOTA drew attention to the publication.
Goncharova was found guilty of participating in an extremist organization (part 2 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code) and spreading «fakes» about the armed forces for political reasons (paragraph » e” of part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code).
According to the press service of the court, Goncharova was interested in the events taking place in the Crimea and Ukraine, which is why she began to take part in the activities of the “Right Sector”. According to the VChK Media telegram channel, she distributed publications in social networks in support of Ukraine. In addition, in the header of her Facebook profile there was an image of the flags of Ukraine and the Right Sector.
The Regnum publication, citing a press release from the local FSB department, wrote that the convict “demonstrated through social networks the symbols of extremist organizations banned in Russia "Ukrainian National Assembly — Ukrainian People's Self-Defense (UNA-UNSO)" ; and "Trident them. Stepan Bandera», and also promoted extremist ideology among her acquaintances. The criminal case against Goncharova became known in June 2022.
