MOSCOW, June 1 Documentary filmmaker Lyudmila Tsvetkova has died at the age of 80, according to the website of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.
Farewell is scheduled for June 2 at 11:00 am in the conference hall of the Central House of Cinematographers.
In 1967, Tsvetkova graduated from the MS Shchepkin Theater School. She began her film career as an actress. There are more than 40 projects in her filmography. Lyudmila Vasilievna starred in the films of Eldar Ryazanov, Pyotr Todorovsky, Marlen Khutsiev, Georgy Danelia.
In 1996, she began to work as a director. Created over 20 documentaries. Including «The True Gift», «Brykin Bor», «Forest Bell», «Beauty Lives Here», the cycle «Witnesses of the Epoch». The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia «For Contribution to the Cause of Friendship».
Lyudmila Tsvetkova was the President of the Association of Military Historical and Patriotic Film of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, a member of the Artistic Council under the Ministry of Defense of Russia (section «Cinematography»).
