The Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that a quadrocopter was shot down in the city, which, according to preliminary data, had nothing to do with hostilities. According to him, the drone, which did not have any weapons, was seen in Inkerman by a vigilant local resident who decided to help the authorities implement the ban on launching drones.
«A resident of Sevastopol himself shot down a quadrocopter with improvised means,» Razvozhaev said.
He added that it was «not a drone with explosives, but a copter with a camera.» Who owned the device and why it was launched, ignoring the prohibitions, is being established. Razvozhaev, in turn, thanked the residents of Sevastopol «for their vigilance» and urged them to report all suspicious objects or people to the authorities.
Earlier, the authorities of the Kursk region reported on the forced landing of a private quadrocopter, also launched contrary to the current ban.
