MOSCOW, June 3 The port of Tiksi on the coast of the Laptev Sea in the north of Yakutia has been opened for the entry of foreign ships, the government's telegram channel reported.
“The government has expanded a list of seaports open for the entry of foreign vessels,» the Cabinet said.
As noted by the government, such a step will create conditions for launching an investment project for the construction of a deep-sea port-hub near the village of Naiba. Its cargo turnover can be about 30 million tons per year.
The implementation of the project will contribute to the creation of new transshipment facilities, the creation of new jobs and the development of the Northern Sea Route.
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on opening the port of Tiksi for foreign ships.
