MINSK, June 4 Minsk and Beijing have agreed to organize a joint production of electric vehicles in Belarus, Minister of Economy Alexander Chervyakov said following the visit of the Belarusian delegation to China.

"A number of companies gave their consent to organize the production of electric vehicles in Belarus. It is very important that the issues of organizing a mechanism for the supply of technological equipment for the modernization of our enterprises have been resolved,” Chervyakov said, a video fragment of whose speech was published on Sunday by the press service of the Belarusian government.
The minister also said that during the visit the issues of providing equipment to the Minsk National Airport were resolved, agreements were reached on the supply of 15 railway locomotives and on a 4-fold increase in the number of permits for Belarusian vehicles transporting goods to China.
Minsk and Beijing also agreed to develop joint projects for training personnel in the healthcare sector, as well as the production of medical equipment and pharmaceutical products.
