MOSCOW, June 5 Rospotrebnadzor after mass poisoning with cider listed the main signs of alcohol poisoning, including nausea, dizziness, abdominal pain, excruciating headache, it says in the telegram channel of the department.
Currently, 16 cases of poisoning are known, which ended in death in the Ulyanovsk region, two more — in the Samara region. In addition, doctors are currently fighting for the lives of two residents of Udmurtia, who are in critical condition. All cases are associated with the use of draft cider produced in Samara. Proceedings were initiated under part 3 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of two or more persons through negligence).
“Signs of alcohol poisoning and its surrogates are: nausea, vomiting, feeling of lightheadedness, dizziness, abdominal pain, excruciating headache,” the telegram channel of Rospotrebnadzor reports.
Further symptoms depend on what caused the poisoning and how large the amount of alcohol consumed was, the department said.
At the first signs of alcohol poisoning or its surrogates, it is necessary to call an ambulance as soon as possible or take the victim to the hospital, Rospotrebnadzor noted.
To prevent poisoning, you should not buy alcoholic beverages in places of unauthorized trade, from your hands, as well as via the Internet, the department advises.
In addition, it is impossible to purchase products without excise stamps, poorly closed bottles containing sediment and foreign inclusions, Rospotrebnadzor emphasized.
