The government of the Russian Federation has supported the bill to include Chukotka in an experiment to limit the export of the game in luggage and hand luggage. A limit of 10 kg per person is being introduced.
Innovations should start working from July 1. Appropriate measures are aimed at curbing poaching in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. The restrictions are also designed to preserve the population of the Anadyr chum salmon.
Now the restrictions apply only in Kamchatka, they were introduced on November 1 last year and should end on August 1, 2025.
The bill may be considered in June , as specified in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
