Intelligence officer Matviychuk: “The Armed Forces of Ukraine are engaged in imitation on the line of contact”
The hyped offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine seems to be crumbling before our eyes. The enemy has been trying for three days of active hostilities to find gaps in our defenses and determine the main direction, but so far he has not been successful. According to a military expert, a former special forces officer, retired colonel Anatoly Matviychuk, the actions of the enemy on the battlefield so far are more like an imitation of an offensive, rather than a real attack.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine, albeit to no avail, continue to attack along the entire front. The heaviest battles are going on in the Zaporozhye direction. The Russian army over the past day has successfully stopped two attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to move forward. The first attack was made in the village of Lobkove. A company of Ukrainian soldiers, supported by six American combat vehicles and two tanks, went on the attack. As a result, the enemy lost two armored vehicles during an explosion in a minefield and up to a platoon of personnel under the fire of our artillery.
After the regrouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they made a second attempt, but already in the area of the Zherebyanka settlement, which is east of the Kakhovka reservoir. This time the enemy went on the attack with the support of six tanks. Our aviation, together with artillery, destroyed two more tanks and part of the infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The enemy rolled back to their positions again.
According to reporter Oleksandr Sladkov, it is unrealistic for the enemy army to break through in the Zaporozhye direction — the defense line in these sectors of the front is multi-layered, “like a good honey cake.”
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine have no prospects,” he wrote in his channel. “But the guys who are now fighting in Lobkovoye and Zherebyanki are not even allowed to enter the advanced trenches of the enemy.”
Despite the fact that the enemy was repulsed, experts suggest that this is the direction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a week with even greater strength. It is possible that the activation of the front in the Zaporozhye direction will continue in the next day.
The tense situation in the Donetsk direction. Here the enemy went on the offensive south of Avdiivka. To destroy the artillery crews of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, our army aviation was used — attack helicopters. The infantry, scattered in the forest plantations, also worked out the heavy flamethrower systems «Solntsepek». The enemy breakthrough was thwarted — the settlements of Opytnoe and Vodyanoye are under the control of the Russian army.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also suffered significant losses, having made eight attempts to break through the defenses in the Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) area.
< p>“Over the past day, the active actions of the Southern Group of Forces successfully repelled eight attempts to attack the assault detachments of the 56th motorized infantry, 57th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of the settlements of Yagodnoye, Dubovo-Vasilevka, the western outskirts of Artemovsk, Andreevka, Orekhovo-Vasilevka, and also the 24th mechanized and 3rd assault brigades in the area of the settlement of Kleshcheevka, ”the military department said.
In the Kherson direction, despite the environmental disaster that occurred as a result of the Ukrainian army undermining the dam on the Kakhovka reservoir, the enemy also makes itself felt and again suffers defeat. According to the military department, over the past day, up to 60 Ukrainian servicemen, five armored combat vehicles, two pickup trucks, a US-made M777 howitzer, a Gvozdika self-propelled gun, and an Msta-B howitzer were destroyed here.

— From the very beginning, three directions were considered as the main ones — Kherson, Zaporozhye, Kharkov, — he said. — But after the terrorist actions at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, the Kherson region went to a secondary direction. But the fact is that the enemy has not yet decided on the direction of the main attack. He is currently searching. The operations that we observed are all attempts to find a weak spot in our defense in order to throw our main forces there. Nevertheless, the enemy does not succeed, he suffers huge losses.
At the same time, the military expert noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have quite large reserves — almost two army corps trained by NATO.
— in total, this is somewhere up to 60 thousand people, Western-made tanks, artillery. And if he finds such a weak spot, then he will strike. But while he has not found such a weak spot, our defense is holding on everywhere, throwing the enemy back to their original positions.
According to Matviychuk, the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can be thwarted.
— The offensive may not really begin, and end with complete destruction, he said. — The enemy is going to attack, starts active hostilities, but in the end is defeated. In total, they have already lost almost four thousand people killed and two tank battalions … I believe that this is pure propaganda — the Anglo-Saxon advisers advised the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense to imitate such activity in order to show that they were at least trying to attack.
