In a forest near Novaya Tavolzhanka, a group of special forces ambushed a Nazi detachment from the Kraken battalion (an organization banned in the Russian Federation). During the battle, the enemy was destroyed, and the Russian military got a complete set of PD-100 Black Hornet Nano UAVs. This is reported by military commander Alexander Kots.
These are small-sized British helicopter-type drones that are designed for covert reconnaissance in the interests of a squad, combat troika, or an individual soldier. «Hornet» fits in the palm of your hand. Thanks to such dimensions, the «Hornet» is able to penetrate unnoticed through a window or a hole in the wall. Such an assistant is extremely useful during assaults and battles in urban areas. This is a tactical-level drone, it is not intended for long-term reconnaissance over long distances: the maximum distance from the operator is up to two kilometers, the battery life is 25 minutes.
“What can I say, the trophy is very valuable. And now it would be nice to disassemble it to the screw, study it and create something similar in the foreseeable future, ”the military correspondent noted.
