Two more earthquakes occurred off the coast of Kamchatka


PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, June 9 Two earthquakes of magnitude 3.9 and 5.4 were recorded during the day in the Kamchatka Bay off the coast of Kamchatka, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Kamchatka Territory reported.
«The earthquake occurred at a depth of 51 kilometers. The magnitude was 5.4. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Pacific Ocean, 117 kilometers southeast of the village of Ust-Kamchatsk. The second earthquake occurred at a depth of 48 kilometers. The magnitude was 3, 9. The epicenter was in the Pacific Ocean, 106 kilometers southeast of the village of Ust-Kamchatsk,» the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 was previously recorded in the Kamchatka Bay. Thus, since the beginning of the day, three seismic events have been recorded approximately 100 kilometers from the settlement of Ust-Kamchatsk in the Pacific Ocean.

According to the data of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kamchatka Territory, earthquakes were not felt in the settlements. Local residents did not apply to EDDS. There was no tsunami threat. There are no casualties or destruction.
