MOSCOW, June 9 The head of the children's group of the Chamber Stage of the Bolshoi Theater Elena Ozerova has died at the age of 81, the press service reported on the theatre's Telegram channel.

“It is with deep regret that we announce that at the age of 81, the head of the children’s group of the Chamber Stage (1978-2020), Honored Artist of Russia Elena Ozerova (11/17/1942–06/08/2023) died,” — stated in the message of the Bolshoi Theatre.
Ozerova was born in Moscow in the family of a famous poet and translator, literary critic Lev Ozerov. In 1978, she was invited by Boris Pokrovsky to the Chamber Musical Theatre, where she organized a children's choir group, which she led until 2020. Under her leadership, young musicians took part in productions of the performances «Let's Create an Opera», «Playing on the Water» by B. Britten, «Vanka» by A. Kholminov, «The Magic Flute» by W. Mozart, as well as at the festival «December Evenings» — performed Britten's operas Albert Herring and The Turn of the Screw.
Ozerova has been working at the Bolshoi Theater since 1988, the press service noted. She participated in productions of the operas «Mlada» by N. Rimsky-Korsakov, «Khovanshchina» by M. Mussorgsky, «La Boheme» and «Turandot» by G. Puccini, «The Beautiful Miller's Woman» by G. Paisiello, «The Force of Destiny» by G. Verdi, «Peak lady» by P. Tchaikovsky and others.
