TOKYO, Jun 11 south coast of the Japanese island of Hokkaido, there is no tsunami threat.
According to the Main Meteorological Agency of Japan, the shocks were recorded at 18.55 local time (12.55 Moscow time). The source of the earthquake was located at a depth of 140 kilometers under water off the coast of Urakawa.
The tremors up to magnitude 5 were felt in the cities of Chitose, Atsuma and Urakawa.
To date, there have been no reports of casualties or damage caused by the earthquake.
