ISTANBUL, Jun 9 Turkish bank Deniz began to return to the accounts of Russians funds withdrawn earlier without specifying the reasons, while the restoration of accounts is still in doubt, reported bank clients.
This week, the bank began debiting up to $60 from the accounts of Russian citizens and closing their accounts in foreign currency, while no explanation was received from the bank, bank customers said earlier.
«The money was returned to the accounts: 59.66 US dollars and six Turkish liras,» said Vadim, a bank client.
“However, at the moment, the bank application does not display the debit card to which these accounts are linked. The bank has not yet responded to the appeal,” the client specified.
At least five more clients of the bank have a similar situation.
The DenizBank customer support service refused to comment, the bank did not officially comment on the situation on its resources. At the same time, on the screenshots provided by the bank's clients, the debiting of funds is accompanied by the comment «account management fee», however, the amount in each case varies significantly. Most of the «sanctions» clients are not in Turkey.
The measures of the Turkish bank Deniz in relation to the accounts of Russian citizens mainly concern those who had no more than two thousand liras (about 7 thousand rubles, or $ 85) in their account at the time of debiting, a previously informed source said.
