MOSCOW, June 10 Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev ironically reacted to the plans of the German concern Rheinmetall to build a plant for the production of tanks in Ukraine.
«I ask you to send the exact coordinates of the future plant. Thank you!» — he wrote on Twitter.
In early May, the German edition of Die Welt reported that the German concern Rheinmetall expects to reach an agreement with Ukrainian companies on the joint production of tanks, shells and air defense in this country in the coming weeks.
Russia sent a note to NATO countries last spring because of arms supplies to Ukraine. Moscow has repeatedly noted that any cargo that contains weapons for Kiev will become a legitimate target for the Russian military.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also said that the United States and the alliance are directly involved in the conflict — not only by supplying weapons, but also training in the UK, Germany, Italy and other countries.
