Roskomnadzor demanded that books by writers Gerard Reve and Tony Duver, in which the characters «express non-traditional sexual preferences», be removed from the website of Mitinoy Zhurnal. This was reported by the editor-in-chief of the publication Dmitry Volchek.
The department sent the corresponding letters to the management of the journal, in case of refusal to remove the publication, Roskomnadzor threatened to block the publication's website Mitin.com. “Of course, I won’t remove anything, and I even like this trajectory:“ Mitin’s Journal ” was published illegally in the USSR and returned underground after 37 years, already in the form of a noble mummy,” Volchek added.
Mitin Zhurnal is a Russian literary and art magazine founded in 1985.
