MOSCOW, June 9 The Russian State Prize for outstanding achievements in humanitarian work for 2022 has been awarded to director Karen Shakhnazarov, Vladimir Tolstoy, cultural adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, said.< br />“The State Prize of Russia for outstanding achievements in the field of art for 2022 for outstanding achievements in the field of humanitarian work has been awarded to the director general of the Mosfilm film concern, director Karen Georgievich Shakhnazarov,” Tolstoy said at a press conference on Friday.
The State Prize is the highest recognition of the merits of scientists and cultural figures before society and the state. It is the main Russian award, having inherited this name from the State Prize of the RSFSR in 1992. In addition to monetary rewards (since 2020, the amount of the award has been doubled to 10 million rubles), the laureates receive a diploma, a badge of honor, and a tailcoat badge.
