Selima Ismailova, a Chechen woman who ran away from home due to violence, was put on a plane flying from Moscow to Grozny. This was reported by the Consortium of Women's NGOs.
SOTA also wrote that Ismailova boarded the flight. On June 12, the girl was detained at Vnukovo airport when she planned to fly to Germany. In March, the detainee ran away from home due to regular beatings; human rights activists helped the girl to leave Chechnya.
The formal reason for the detention, according to the police, was the fact that Ismailova was wanted in the theft case (Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code), which was initiated at the request of her relative. Later, the metropolitan police handed over the detainee to the Chechen security forces. On the evening of the day of detention, Ismailova became ill — an ambulance came to her, she spent the night in the police department.
The SOS Crisis Group published a recording in which a man, speaking Chechen, threatens his daughter with violence — the post says that this is a recording of a voice message from Ismailova's father. In particular, the man threatens to break the girl's limbs and says that he will «take revenge on her tenfold.»
“I will still find you, wherever you are. And trust me, I'm not a man if I don't keep my word. Now you will not teach at school, now you will have a complete ban and restrictions on everything. You won't even lift your head up, I'll break your back. Know this, you have already brought me down, ”the man says on the recording.
In November, 18-year-old Leyla Gireeva from Ingushetia fled to St. Petersburg due to domestic violence. Later, relatives were looking for her, and the police detained the girl, also imputing an article on theft to her — according to human rights activists, her mother wrote a statement against Gireeva. As a result, Gireeva was forced to return home.
