MOSCOW, June 14 Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi arrives for a visit in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, where he was officially welcomed by the President of this country, Daniel Ortega, IRNA reports.

Raisi arrived in Managua from Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, which became the first point of his trip to South America, the finale of which will be a visit to Cuba. According to information on the website of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, during Raisi's visit to Venezuela, 26 cooperation agreements were signed between Tehran and Caracas. The Mehr agency clarifies that the agreements cover areas such as communications and information technology, energy, insurance, maritime transport, higher education, agriculture, medicine, mining and culture.
Earlier, Fars reported that Iran plans to become a shareholder in three new offshore oil refineries (refineries) in Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
