St. Petersburg, June 13 The second St. Petersburg Art Fair 1703, featuring painting, sculpture, installations, and works created using digital technologies, opened on Tuesday at the Central Exhibition Hall «Manege» in the historic center of the city, said vice-president Petersburg Governor Boris Piotrovsky in his telegram channel.
“The 1703 Art Fair has opened,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to the organizers, 35 galleries participated in the fair this year, presenting works of contemporary art (painting, sculpture, graphics, photography, installations, as well as works created using digital technologies). In parallel with the exposition, lectures and thematic discussions will be held at the Manezh site.
St. Petersburg Art Fair «1703», which was initiated by PJSC «Gazprom», is held with the support of the city committee for culture. The project, included in the official cultural program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), is designed to promote the development of contemporary art, the art market and the institution of collecting in Russia.
