At a meeting with war correspondents, Russian President Vladimir Putin asked a rhetorical question about the advisability of reaching Kiev again as part of a special military operation.
«Our troops were near Kiev,» Putin said, recalling that a good agreement was reached there on how to resolve the current situation by peaceful means. At the same time, the Russian leader stressed that the Ukrainian side then threw out this treaty.
«Do we need to return there or not?», he asked the military enlisted officers.
«Why such a rhetorical question It is clear that there is simply no answer to this, I can only answer it myself,» the president added.
Vladimir Putin also noted that during this time Russian troops occupied almost all of Novorossia and a significant part of Donetsk with access to the Sea of Azov and Mariupol and almost all, with a few exceptions, the territory of the LPR.
