
MOSCOW, June 13. «The use of modern technologies in work on counter-propaganda with schoolchildren» — this topic was the subject of a seminar that took place at the All-Russian Patriotic Forum-2023 held at the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill. It was conducted by Natalia Loseva, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group, Head of the experimental immersive journalism platform RIA Lab.
Using the examples of documentary reconstructions and quests of the agency in the virtual reality format, she spoke about the meanings the authors put into their scripts, how it affects users, and what kind of feedback can be obtained if a combination of new technologies and historical content is selected in a quality manner. Natalia Loseva dwelled in detail on the advantages of domestic VR projects for educational organizations, their role in the patriotic education of the younger generation and counter-propaganda.
The discussion was also attended by Channel One TV presenter Polina Tsvetkova, who moderated the discussion, Advisor to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Andrey Ilnitsky, co-chairman of the EastPatriotika Foundation, expert of the Russian Military Historical Society, member of the Association of Historians of the Union State Alexander Makushin.
«Today, our country is under strong information pressure from the outside, aimed at distorting historical facts,» reminded Ivan Radko, program manager of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Rospatriot, which is the organizer of the All-Russian Patriotic Forum 2023. — Therefore, as a youth organization, we what matters is the presence here of a leader among media developing documentary VR projects. This format is aimed at preserving the historical truth and is addressed directly to the younger generation.»
