VIENNA, June 14 the meeting room during the demonstration by the Russian side of fragments from HIMARS shells, which Ukraine fires at Donetsk, said the head of the delegation at the talks in Vienna on military security and arms control Konstantin Gavrilov.
“According to our estimates, this indicated that they simply could not bear to hear real facts confirming the involvement of the West in Ukraine’s war crimes,” he said.
The diplomat explained that Russian representatives asked a direct question: «How would Western colleagues react if something like this was done against, say, the British in Ireland, the French in Belgium, the Italians in Switzerland, the Swedes in Finland?
“What would they say if the United States armed terrorist forces against these citizens and supported inhumane slogans about the need to eliminate them? Of course, they simply cannot answer this. It’s easier to run away, leaving the questions we posed unanswered. That’s what they did. This situation once again confirms that the countries of the West are not just sponsors, but accomplices of the lawlessness perpetrated by Kiev for nine years in the Donbass,» Gavrilov added.
According to him, by demonstrating the fragments, Russia wanted to show that the Europeans indulge this inhuman policy.
“Ignoring dozens of victims of NATO weapons in the Donbass, which are in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has led to the fact that in the Kherson region the number of victims is already hundreds of thousands. If the Western states do not change their course of action, the scale of its consequences will be difficult to imagine,” the diplomat stressed.
In his opinion, the states of Asia, Africa, Latin America and the whole world see that the so-called civilized Europe supports acts of Ukrainian terrorism.
“The continuation of this policy threatens that other countries will continue to turn away from Europeans and peoples,” concluded the source of the agency.
Today, for the first time in the history of the OSCE, Russia presented evidence of the crimes of the Kiev regime sponsored by the United States — fragments of ammunition for HIMARS missile systems. According to Gavrilov, they were received directly from the special military operation zone in Donbass.
Moreover, Gavrilov added, if necessary, the Russian delegation will not limit itself to displaying only these ammunition, but will also organize a demonstration of a captured German Leopard tank in order to reason with Europeans who support acts of Ukrainian terrorism.
