RIA Novosti: the head of the GUR of Ukraine, Budanov, was wounded on May 29 during an attack on Kiev
RIA Novosti has published a report about the wounding of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov. The agency said it received the information from a member of the Russian security forces, who was from a Ukrainian intelligence source. The agency does not give the names of the speakers.
«Budanov was wounded on May 29 during a Russian strike on the building of his department,» RIA said in a statement.
The report says that on that day «Budanov was taken by helicopter to a military base in Polish Rzeszow», and from there an «American evacuation plane» transported him to Germany.
At present, Budanov remains in the hospital in In Berlin, his condition is serious, RIA Novosti said.
There has been no official confirmation of this information from the Russian Ministry of Defense yet. In Kyiv, they did not comment on fresh reports about Budanov's injury, and they refuted the rumors that had appeared earlier. Last week, the press service of the GUR commented on the «disappearance» of Budanov from the media, explaining this by the fact that he is directly involved in «special operations.» At the same time, a video with him on the topic of the counteroffensive was published.
The day before, it was reported that State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov was allegedly wounded in the NVO zone. These reports were denied in Moscow and Chechnya.
