MOSCOW, June 15 Russian President Vladimir Putin takes part in the opening of a section of the Don highway bypassing the city of Aksai via video link.
The Aksai bypass is designed to remove traffic from the city and improve the traffic situation in the south of the country.
Aksay bypass — a new section of the M-4 «Don» highway, which is part of the Rostov transport ring under construction — a ring road around Rostov-on-Don. The Aksai bypass consists of 35.5 kilometers of the road of the highest technical category without traffic lights and intersections at the same level. The project provides for the construction of 15 artificial structures, including bridges across the Cherkasskaya and Aksai rivers, 8 overpasses, including over the railway.
