«A memorial service today at the Milan Cathedral, at three o'clock local time, and then a funeral at Berlusconi's villa near Milan. We do not yet know about the level of foreign presence at the funeral, but the Russian side was not invited to this ceremony,» Ushakov said reporters.
At the same time, Ushakov noted that Putin and Berlusconi had not only constructive working relations, but also long-term friendship. «The President sincerely mourns the death of Silvio Berlusconi,» he stressed.
Former Prime Minister, Senator Berlusconi, who was hospitalized at the San Raffaele clinic in Milan on June 9, died on Monday in hospital at the age of 87 . The state funeral ceremony for Berlusconi, who headed the Italian government four times, will begin on Wednesday at Milan Cathedral at 15.00 (16.00 Moscow time).
