MOSCOW, June 13. Elizabeth Gilbert has postponed indefinitely the release of her new book, writes The New York Times.
She made the decision after she was criticized on the Web for writing a novel whose events unfold in Russia. In «Snow Forest» the focus is on a Russian family that opposed the USSR, the action takes place in the 1930s.
Gilbert's book was announced last week. It was planned to be released on February 13, 2024.

The transfer of the publication, the article notes, also caused controversy on the Web. There are users who regarded Gilbert's behavior as an act of self-censorship.
