Enemy's previous attempts bogged down, soldiers fleeing the battlefield
President Putin, on the basis of military reports, told the St. Petersburg Economic Forum that during the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “they had no success” in any of the sectors of the front. Nevertheless, the «raids» of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue, a large-scale offensive can continue at any moment. Confirmation of this is the information of our scouts that the enemy is planning to launch a massive attack on a number of settlements in Zaporozhye this weekend.
Despite the failed offensive operation of the enemy, our army does not relax and gives a fitting rebuff to every attempt of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to infiltrate in small groups on the territory that she was going to take two weeks ago.
Thus, positional battles continue in the Orekhovsky sector, which has been the main one since the beginning of the Ukrainian “offensive”.
On the morning of June 16, units of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, after regrouping in Lobkove at night, resumed the attack on Pyatikhatka. Several tanks and other armored vehicles were involved. The enemy tried to gain a foothold on the western outskirts of Pyatikhatki. In the afternoon, the enemy attack in this sector practically bogged down. The enemy suffered losses in men and equipment. According to some reports, up to eight armored vehicles were destroyed. After that, our troops began cleaning up the area where the enemy left the corpses of his soldiers, as well as the wounded who could not evacuate on their own.
On the Vremievsky ledge, our fighters are conducting the so-called active defense. The fighting took place in the areas of the settlements of Rovnopol and Urozhaynoye. Five enemy attacks were repulsed here. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, more than 200 Ukrainian servicemen, five tanks, seven infantry fighting vehicles, five armored fighting vehicles, four vehicles, and two mortar batteries were destroyed in this sector of the front during the day, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
On the night of June 16, Ukrainian formations transferred infantry in four armored combat vehicles to forest plantations nearby in the direction of Novodonetsk. The enemy is accumulating assault groups to resume the attack on the village, which is under the control of our forces.
At the same time, our fighters note, the enemy learns from his failures and changes tactics. Now on the Vremievsky ledge and in the Orekhov sector, the enemy is resorting to new tactics — he starts the battle with powerful fire, then throws infantry into battle. In this case, the infantry is delivered by armored vehicles close to our positions. And only then the enemy will use more heavy equipment. This allows you to save more weapons and equipment at the cost of the life of the infantry, which is used as a consumable.
By the way, the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also seem to be well aware that they are used in senseless attacks that end in failure. It is not surprising that decadent moods are observed in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. So, one of the recent night attacks of the enemy in the Orekhovskoye direction was thwarted precisely because of the large number of soldiers who refused to go on the offensive against Russian positions. As noted on the ground, the 47th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which has the sad experience of heavy fighting and huge losses in the period from June 4 to 14, especially “distinguished itself”.
According to experts, the battles can escalate at any moment in the second phase of the enemy offensive. It is possible that the next phase may begin with an APU strike, which is expected from Friday to Sunday.
So, according to the Telegram channel NgP RaZVedka, from June 16 to June 18, the enemy plans to strike with the forces of the 65th rocket-artillery battalion, the 72nd separate mechanized brigade, the 128th separate mountain assault brigade , 38th separate regiment of drones, M142 HIMARS jet systems.
Strikes are planned on such settlements as Vasilyevka, Ocherevatoe, Verkhnyaya Krinitsa, Tokmak, Berdyansk … At the same time, the scouts warned that the enemy was very well aware of the location of our units and headquarters «due to satellite, undercover and electronic intelligence.
