St. Petersburg, 16 Jun. Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin and CNPC Chairman of the Board of Directors Dai Houlian discussed prospects for the implementation of joint production projects and cooperation in the technology sector at SPIEF, the Russian company said.
«Igor Sechin and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) Dai Houliang discussed the prospects for the implementation of joint production projects, as well as cooperation in the technological field,» she said in a statement.
Rosneft has become the first Russian company to sign long-term contracts with the Chinese side, including CNPC, for the supply of 325 million tons of oil by the end of the first half of 2038. From 2005 to 2022, cumulative deliveries to China amounted to 442 million tons of oil. Additionally, in February 2022, Rosneft and CNPC signed a contract to supply 100 million tons of oil to China via Kazakhstan over 10 years.
In 2018, Rosneft and CNPC signed an agreement on cooperation in exploration and production in Russia. CNPC got the opportunity to acquire minority stakes in major oil and gas projects of Rosneft.
