St. PETERSBURG, June 17 The Ministry of Digital Transformation has taken initiatives to transfer to a special account royalties to authors-foreign agents who have received fines for fake news about the RF Armed Forces, and to freeze them for further proceedings, as well as to ban Russian companies from advertising with such foreign agents, Maksut Shadayev, head of the department, told reporters on the sidelines of the SPIEF.
«Deductions for authors-foreign agents who have administrative responsibility for fakes about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which Russian audiovisual platforms pay for their reproduction, we will credit to special accounts. This decision is proposed to be made for foreign agents who already have administrative responsibility for fakes about the actions of the Armed Forces forces of the Russian Federation,» Shadayev said.

According to him, the funds will be withheld for further proceedings, because the labels negotiate differently with the authors. «First, the funds will go to a special account, and then the labels will show what part was planned to be transferred directly to foreign agents,» Shadayev added.

He noted that these funds will be frozen in a special account.
«And the second measure: the Ministry of Digital Development proposes to introduce a ban on advertising from foreign agents with this sign too. So that, for example, our companies do not place integrated advertising in commercials of foreign agents with administrative charges for fake news about the RF Armed Forces,» Shadayev said.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) takes place on June 14-17 and is the media partner and host photo agency of the forum.
