MOSCOW/ROSTOV-ON-DON, June 18 The ship «Pavel Bazhov» ran aground on the Volga in the Astrakhan region, Rosmorrechflot reported.
«A report was received from the dispatcher of the Federal State Budgetary Institution «Administration of the Volga GDP» that at 2748 km of the Volga River near the village of Cherny Yar, the passenger ship Pavel Bazhov, following the Kazan-Astrakhan route, ran aground. There are 193 passengers on board and 60 crew members,» the ministry said.
It is clarified that there are no victims, the ship has no water leaks. Competent services are taking measures to refloat the vessel.
According to the representative of the GUMCHS of Russia for the region, there are 186 people on board, including 35 children and 60 crew members.
