YAROSLAVL, 20 Jun. An ambulance was not called for an elderly woman in Kaluga who was frightened by an animator in a gorilla costume, the press service of the regional Ministry of Health reported.
Local social networks and the media, in particular, the Kaluga edition Znamya, wrote about the incident on Theater Square in Kaluga back in mid-May by posting a video: in the footage, an animator in a gorilla costume, of great stature, slowly runs after an elderly woman, she runs away in fear and falls. Passers-by rush to her. «Gorilla» looks away in confusion. In the last two days, the video has gained a lot of buzz. In social networks, they began to note that an ambulance was called for the frightened woman, and she was taken to the hospital with a stroke.
«Nobody called an ambulance in this case,» the regional health ministry said. The ministry did not specify whether the woman went to the medical facility on her own after the incident.
A source in the emergency services of the region said that «there was no stroke.»
The Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kaluga region does not have a commentary on whether there was any complaint after the woman's meeting with the gorilla animator. The regional prosecutor's office said that the department is not investigating the incident.
