The Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office and decided to seize 1,032.1 bitcoins, that is, more than 1.6 billion rubles, from the head of the investigation department of the Investigative Committee for the Tverskoy District, Marat Tambiev, as a bribe. It is reported by Business FM with reference to its correspondent.
“We do not object to the withdrawal of cryptocurrencies. Let it be confiscated as ownerless, — said the lawyer Ekaterina Khazova at the meeting. “But we object to the fact that the cryptocurrency has ever belonged and belongs to the defendant and that it was received by Marat Khamidovich Tambiev for committing any illegal actions from the Bergmans and Samokutyaev.”
According to the investigation and the Prosecutor General’s Office On April 7, 2022, Tambiev received a bribe from members of the Infraud Organization hacker group Mark and Konstantin Bergmanov, as well as Kirill Samokutyaevsky. They, being under investigation, asked not to arrest their accounts and paid for it with cryptocurrency.
Tambiev denies his guilt. At the same time, during the search, an Apple MacBook Pro laptop was seized from him, on which there were photos of access codes to an electronic wallet where the cryptocurrency was located. Now the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the Tverskoy District is under arrest.
