MOSCOW, June 20 Head of the Moscow branch of the Social Revolutionaries Dmitry Gusev announced that he plans to submit documents to the Moscow City Electoral Committee on June 23 for nomination to the mayor of Moscow.
«Fair Russia — Patriots — For Truth» nominated Gusev as a candidate for mayor of Moscow on Tuesday at a party conference.
«On Friday we submit documents to the Moscow City Electoral Committee and start meeting with deputies. We already have our deputies ready and have agreements on support with other deputies of Moscow municipalities,» Gusev said.
The candidates from some parliamentary parties are already known. «United Russia» in June decided to nominate the current mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, to the post of the capital's mayor. «New People» June 18 decided to nominate the Vice-Speaker of the State Duma Vladislav Davankov. LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky said earlier that the party would nominate State Duma Vice Speaker Boris Chernyshov. In the Communist Party, in turn, they can nominate the grandson of the leader of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov, Leonid Zyuganov, he is recommended as a candidate, Deputy of the State Duma Yuri Afonin said earlier.
Earlier, the Moscow City Duma published a resolution scheduling the election of the mayor of Moscow for September 10, which marks the start of the election campaign in the capital. Within 30 days from the date of publication, the nomination of candidates for the post of mayor of Moscow will begin, as well as the collection of signatures of voters in their support.
